This post is inspired wholly by my homegirl Anne V. She like the rest of the world was shocked by some of the brutality and the harassment that other #occupiers have been face with: tasers, pepper spray and handcuffs.

But to outwardly question the System, you have to be prepared for that kind of backlash. This made me think about the scene from She Hate Me (A Spike Lee Joint) where Geronimo (Jim Brown) tells his son, Jack Armstrong (Anthony Mackie) about what happens when you stand up for what’s right

Frank Wills was just a man doing his job. They (America) then turned that would be hero into a has been. So to the #Occupiers I pray for your safety and salute your bravery cause you are out there risking it all for something more.
